A young boy lighting candles along the river in Hsipaw during the 'Thidingyut Festival. This festival is held during the full moon at the end of October, and marks the day Lord Buddha came down from heaven after spending three months of the Buddhist lent there. The Buddha's return is welcomed throughout Myanmar with colourful illuminations and people releasing fireworks and lanterns into the sky.
